Our school song says it best “Gullett is a school like no other place”. Read about some of the special clubs and activities offered to our students.
a living experience
Gullett students regularly take the learning outdoors! From outdoor learning spaces to class gardens, our students get out in nature on a weekly basis. We're also proud to be home to so many animals: reptiles, mammals and fish. Our students have the opportunity to care for our critters and even grow some of the food we need to keep so many animals on campus.
school assemblies & grade level musicals
Public speaking and presenting are essential skills that Gullett students hone during their years here. From presenting at Friday morning assemblies to performing in grade level musical performances, our students routinely get to practice their presentation skills to fellow students and families. Each grade level has an annual musical performance and individual classes perform at our Friday assemblies once each year. Also during assemblies, when parents or guardians purchase a Birthday Book for the library, the designated book is presented to the student at the Friday assembly closest to that child’s birthday.
no place for hate (NP4H)
Gullett Elementary is a proud NP4H campus. We build inclusive and safe communities in which respect is the goal, and all students can thrive. We empower students, faculty, administration and family members to take a stand against hate and bullying by incorporating new and existing programs under one powerful message. We also send a clear, unified message that all students have a place to belong. Our 3rd-5th grade students may join the NP4H Club which plans school-wide events promoting acceptance and tolerance for differences.
Students in 3rd-5th can join our Yearbook Club. Interested students can choose between the art team and the layout team. The art team works on the cover, the inside page, clipart, and typography (lettering). The layout team chooses the best photos from each event, choose which ones will be used, and places them on the page.
Our wonderful music teacher leads our choir for 3rd-5th grade students. Our choir has performed at the Circuit of the Americas, the Texas State Capitol, Austin Parks and Pizza, Pinballz, the HEB Center, and more. We are so very proud of these talented performers!
