Congratulations to the 2012 Gullett UIL Team

                The Gullett UIL Team competed May 12, at Overton Elementary against eight other elementary schools in AISD  taking home 22 ribbons!   Well done!  Our Gullett UIL Team members include: 2nd grade- Alice Gray, Nathan Tinney, Oliver Boyd.  3rd grade - Eliana Herrera, Elliott Ruggero, Evan Dodds, Ian Poe, Joseph Mathias, Jude Gravois, Julia Burke-Sexton, Maddie Dixon, Oscar Schaubert, Sammie Driggers.  4th grade – Addison Doherty, Charlotte Evelyn, Ganden Larsen, Julia Medina, Marshall Haynes, Sarah Hager, Sophie Knifton, Sydney Buford, Wes Savage.  5th grade- Baxter Moore, Dan Thomas, Emmett Sweeney, Jeremy Mock, Normie Boyd, Tucker Ebest.

Last Day of School NW POOL PARTY
Calling all Geckoes – the Family Fun Committee has rented NW Pool from 3-4pm for a Gullett only pool party on the last day of school (Wednesday, May 30th).
Just like the last 2 years we will collect pool admission of $3 per adult and $1 per student at the entrance to the pool so that we won't have to clear the pool and pay as we re-enter at 4pm when it opens to the public.  We'll have FREE watermelon, goldfish, and pretzels but no Jim-Jims this year.

SUMMER HELP WITH THE GROUNDS
Please contact grounds co-chair Laura DiCarlo at 323-6929 or lhdicarlo@yahoo.com if you would like to help water around campus for a week this summer and/or if you would like to be involved with growing vegetables and maintaining the gardens this summer. 
 

A BIG thank you to all the Friday popcorn and water “customers” this year!  With your help, we have raised over $3,200 for the Kindergarten/Life Skills Ramp Renovation Project.  Hooray!  The current focus of this project is an amphitheater, which will be used for fine arts performances, grade level assemblies, and after school meetings, as well as an outdoor classroom.  In addition to popcorn sales, we are seeking donations to bring us closer to the projected $25,000 needed to build this lasting and beautiful addition to our campus.  Donations of funds, skills, and supplies would be greatly appreciated.  Please contact Peggy Dieterich at pdieterich@austin.rr.com if you or someone you know is able to help.
